Milestone reached on Caboolture project
‘The Winslow Way’ is to work safely, focus our efforts, and work smarter.
Winslow Queensland’s Infrastructure team recently reached a key milestone in the delivery of the Caboolture Landfill Expansion Project, marking a significant step in expanding our existing waste infrastructure delivery capabilities.
Commissioned by the City of Moreton Bay, the project involves the construction of a new landfill waste cell, a high-efficiency sediment basin, a concrete-lined forebay, and associated infrastructure.
This development represents a vital investment in the region’s long-term waste management strategy.
This month, the project team commenced the installation of the engineered landfill cell lining — a complex, multi-layered system comprising a geosynthetic clay liner (GCL), high-density polyethylene (HDPE) geomembrane, and protective geotextiles. The work is being completed on an accelerated schedule, with crews operating seven days a week throughout July.
Despite facing several logistical and environmental challenges, Winslow Queensland continues to make strong progress with the project on track for practical completion in September.
