Business Development
Formed in 2009 the Business Development Department focuses on three significant areas:

  1. Business Improvement – various areas of the existing business are closely analysed to ensure that they are optimising their value to the business and to ensure they adapt promptly and efficiently to changes. Current methods are rigorously tested and where necessary changed to improve the efficiency of the Group.
  2. Business Growth – mergers, acquisitions and Greenfields businesses are examined, proposed and actioned.
  3. Marketing – the Business Development Department manages the Group Web Site and marketing information ensuring the companies message to its customers and the public is always clear, up to date and maintains relevance.
Financial Services
The Winslow finance service stream offers a comprehensive range of services to the Group which ensures that the adoption of our financial and commercial disciplines creates and sustains value for the business.

    Our experience and expertise covers an extensive range of offerings including:
  • Financial Accounting - Financial statement preparation, financial reporting & analysis, book keeping and asset register maintenance.
  • Budgeting - Preparation of financial budgets and forecasts
  • Debtor, Creditor and Cashflow Management – All aspects of the Accounts Receivable and Payable functions and manage the cashflow for the group.
  • Payroll – We provide payroll management services for over 400 employees nationally across numerous business units on a weekly basis and administrator superannuation, payroll tax, child support deductions, PAYG and end of year ATO reporting.
  • Investment - Structuring and management of a diversified portfolio of investments for the group
  • Financing – Sourcing and managing all the group’s financing needs.
  • Taxation - Taxation advice and services in the areas of Income Tax, Goods and Services Tax, Fringe Benefits Tax, Land Tax and Capital Gains Tax.
  • Information Technology - Management of the IT services for the group making sure that the highest level of performance is achieved from our IT network whilst ensuring that our platform remains leading-edge.
  • Corporate Secretarial – Statutory secretarial needs for the group including maintenance of statutory registers, lodgement of ASIC returns and statutory minutes, company incorporations and organisation of meetings.

We work closely with each business unit to ensure that our offerings are developed and tailored for their specific needs.
HR/IR
The success of the Winslow Group over the years has been built on the strength and quality of its people. The role of the HR/IR service stream is to ensure that its people are provided with the tools and skills to continually improve and develop with the company to ensure all strategic business objectives are attained.

The HR/IR Service Stream continues to support the company through the following activities:
  • Policy Development and Review - Establishing standards and bench marks for company policies and procedures.
  • EEO - Ensuring a harmonious work place and that employees have equal access to opportunities and that the work place free of all forms of unlawful discrimination and harassment.
  • Recruitment - Co-ordinating the process to ensure the finest quality of candidates is employed by the company.
  • Standardised Conditions and Benefits - Establishing employee contracts to ensure security of terms and benefits.
  • Enterprise Assessment - Negotiating and monitoring all agreements to ensure fair and competitive outcomes.
  • HR/IR Advice - Providing guidance to department manages and employees.
  • Employee Assistance Program - Providing benefits, support and assistance to employees.
HSEQ and Training:
Winslow service stream HSEQ is managed by a dedicated team of HSEQ professionals well qualified in their area of expertise, based at the group’s head office in addition to various other personnel based at project sites involved in day to day aspects of HSEQ Compliance.

Winslow service stream HSEQ is engaged in provision of value added services for the broader Winslow Group in the following areas of the Group’s activities.

Integrated Management System:
Develop, Implement and Maintain the Group Integrated Management System on an ongoing basis including formulation of various policies as required from time to time.

Accreditation/Pre Qualification:
To ensure the group’s accreditation and its maintenance to AS/NZS & ISO Standards in addition to meeting various pre qualification criteria as required by clients from time to time.

Training:
Provision of training and development to all personnel across the group in terms of personnel development and skills.

Injury Management:
Prevention and Management of workplace injuries, return to work of injured employees, Work cover claims and premiums.

Audits:
Performing various Internal and External audits on projects and sub contractors in terms of HSEQ compliance.

Environment:
To ensure achievement of strong sustainable business outcomes in partnership with the community, clients, stakeholders and other interested parties

Winslow Plant Hire
Winslow Plant Hire is responsible for the Purchase, Maintenance and Logistical Management of the companies plant and equipment. As of early 2010 plant and equipment owned by Winslow Plant Hire included:

  • 130 items of heavy Plant.
  • 23 trucks.
  • 7 Semi Tippers.
  • 2 Fuel Trucks.
  • 5 Service Vehicles.
  • 126 Motor vehicles
  • Numerous items of small plant such as pumps and generators.
With its workshop situated alongside the head office Winslow Plant Hire carries out approximately 90% of all the maintenance on the plant and equipment. Winslow Plant Hire contracts out the remaining 10% of the maintenance, usually to the equipment manufacturers. Service and fuel trucks service and maintain the plant and equipment in the field.

In liaison with the company Operations Desk, Winslow Plant Hire is responsible for the day to day management of the company plant and equipment in order to ensure it is used in the most efficient manner and the needs of the Operations Department are met.

Winslow Plant Hire regularly reviews the age and condition of its plant and equipment and is responsible for ensuring equipment is replaced at intervals which deliver the best economical outcome to the business and which also satisfy the needs of the Operations Department.
