Group Director and Founder

Dino Strano, the founder of the Winslow group, has overseen the substantial growth of the Winslow Group since its inception in 1985. With over 30 years experience, Dino has experience in all aspects of civil engineering, project management, residential and commercial development and property investment.

Dino’s personal drive, enthusiasm and vision have been fundamental to the growth, development and success of the Winslow Group and its people. Dino has developed a reputation for honesty and integrity in his personal and business relationships, values which he has successfully instilled into all levels of the organisation. These values have been crucial to the success and growth of the Winslow Group.

Trevor Lockwood has been an active participant in the successful development of the group and has overseen Winslow’s growth from a smaller private company with a turnover of less than $40 million to a large corporation with a turnover in excess of $350 million.

After previously having been the Group’s external accountant at Ernst and Young, Trevor joined the group in 1999. Trevor has progressed through the ranks from Group Financial Controller to his current position as Group CEO.

Trevor is responsible for the group’s strategic direction including business positioning, diversification, growth, people management, capital management and the overall profitability of the group. His foresight and leadership has been an integral part of Winslow’s success to date.

General Manager

Rohan Davidson is the General Manager of the Winslow Group. Rohan has over 16 years experience in the civil construction sector. Starting his career as a Surveyor, Rohan quickly shifted into Winslow management as a Construction Supervisor, Project Manager, and Construction Manager culminating in his appointment as General Manager of the Winslow Group in 2010. Through this period Rohan has been a significant asset to the Winslow team, responsible for delivering quality results on a vast range of civil projects.

Andrew has over 10 years experience in the civil construction industry. After the successful completion of Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Andrew has rapidly moved through Winslow management positions from Construction Supervisor, Site Engineer, KPI Manager, Project Manager to his current position of Construction Manager.

During this period Andrew has been a highly regarded and well respected member of the Winslow team, responsible for the delivery of quality results on a large and diverse range of civil projects.

Tim has over 8 years experience in the civil construction sector. Starting late after a stint in a family business his career commenced as a graduate engineer following completion of a Bachelor of Engineer (Civil). Tim quickly shifted into Winslow management appointments as Project Engineer, Project Manager, and at present Construction Manager (West Region).

In his time with Winslow Constructors Tim has been fundamental to the success of the Winslow Group through his ability of delivering quality results on a large range of civil projects.

Anthony commenced with Winslow in April 2004 as Financial Controller, joining the group with extensive experience in the areas of financial & management reporting, taxation, statutory audits and general business consulting.

Anthony holds a BA (Accounting) and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. With over 10 years experience in the industry in a financial capacity, Anthony is responsible for all financial functions of the Group.

Srini has an impressive international career in the oil, retailing and manufacturing industries. In recent years Srini has focused on the Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental aspects of the Construction Industry. Since joining Winslow Srini has been the driving force in ensuring compliance of the Winslow group in the area of Safety, Quality and Environmental management.

With over 10 years of experience, Srini holds a Bachelors Degree in Commerce (Advanced Accountancy & Auditing), Diploma in Management(Marketing & Finance) Advanced Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, TAFE Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training, Advanced OHS Risk Management and Lead Auditor in Quality Systems, Safety Systems and Advanced Safety Auditor.

Peter Smoljko has over 12 years experience dealing with Industrial Relations within the construction industry. His experience involves numerous projects including the Plenty Rd Duplication, Calder Hwy Project, and numerous subdivisions to name a few.

His qualifications include:

International Executive Program - Harvard University
Diploma Community Development - Victoria University

Peter has focused on developing a strong relationship between Winslow and all of its employees. He has an interpersonal approach when dealing with employees and strives to empower employees to rise to all challenges in the workplace.

Contracts Manager

Bob Beck is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australia, a Member of the Institute of Arbitrators & Mediators Australia and a Chartered Professional Engineer.

His certified education includes:
  • Graded Arbitrator, Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators Australia
  • Diploma of Civil Engineering, Swinburne Institute of Technology
  • Professional Certificate in Arbitration, University of Adelaide
Bob is also an Accredited Adjudicator under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 2002 (Vic).

Bob has over 38 years experience in the construction industry on projects throughout Australia including:

  • Major highways and freeways with associated overpasses, under passes, and various structures
  • Elevated roadways for the City Link works
  • Residential and Commercial expansions for contractors and developers
  • Rail tunnel construction and works
  • High rise building and refurbishment in the City of Melbourne
  • Racecourse and Harness Racing track development
  • Water treatment plant construction
  • Micro-tunnelling and pipe jacking
  • Gas and oil cross country pipelines in all states of Australia

Business Development Manager

Kevin has over 30 years experience working around Australia in the housing construction, quarrying, premixed concrete, precast concrete, concrete pipe and civil construction industries.

Whilst Kevin’s role includes the traditional work of a Business Development Manager in the areas of Sales and Marketing, Kevin’s main roles in the Winslow Group are to develop the business from within, focussing on improving the way the group conducts its business to ensure it constantly delivers the best results, and to assist in the establishment of new businesses either via acquisition or Greenfields development.

Construction Manager

Andrew has over 10 years experience in the management of tunnelling, building and civil construction projects. Andrew has been involved in many international work placements as a Project Manager, as well as national projects as a Construction Manager.

His breadth of experience coupled with the strong ‘hands on’ approach Andrew has gained, together with his energy and enthusiasm, ensures that he is a valuable asset to any project. Projects Andrew has worked on for the group include the Gold Coast Desalination Plant, The Adelaide Desalination Plant and the Pipeline Alliance Project in Victoria.

Manager – Winslow Plant Hire

Pat is responsible for all aspects of the Financial and Operational management of Winslow Plant Hire. A qualified Motor Mechanic who initially contracted to Winslow before joining the company full time in 1989 Pat has in excess of 30 years experience in the management and maintenance of heavy plant and equipment. Responsible for a team of ten and an equipment inventory in excess of 290 items of heavy plant, trucks and motor vehicles as well as a significant number of smaller plant items, Pat’s extensive experience ensures that Winslow consistently delivers the right equipment for the job and it is always operating in peak condition.
