The AGIC membership
Winslow is committed to supporting sustainable development and infrastructure and is constantly working at improving the way it does business in order to promote a sustainable future. Whilst the Winslow Group is working actively to ensure that it complies with all legislative and statutory requirements it is also participating in other areas and with other interested parties in establishing new measurements and systems to ensure that the Civil Construction industry is constantly improving its performance in regard to sustainability.

Along with its Foundation Membership of AGIC (see below) The Winslow Group also has employees currently participating in groups such as the Civil Contractors Federation, Local Council Advisory Groups and working parties within AGIC to further the sustainability cause.

AGIC
Winslow is proud to be a founding member of the Australia Green Infrastructure Council (AGIC).

AGIC is a not-for-profit national association with a key objective to work towards and encourage more sustainable infrastructure within Australia. This is achieved through education, training, advocacy, and recognition of sustainable practices through the AGIC Sustainability Rating Scheme.

Categories of the AGIC Sustainability Rating Scheme include:

  • Project management and governance
  • Economic performances
  • Using resources
  • Emissions, pollution and waste
  • Biodiversity
  • People and place
  • Workforce
AGIC extends continued support and recognition to leading methodologies and practices designed to improve social, economic and environmental outcomes. This also includes improving and enriching the quality of life for communities and industry employees.
